At the Brampton Dog Hospital a medical assessment works as follows:

• We examine your dog’s eyes, ears, and skin.
• We observe cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for any abnormalities.
• We perform any blood and/or urine tests as necessary to check your dog’s kidneys, liver, pancreas, and endocrine system, including the thyroid and adrenal glands.

Based on your dog’s condition, we may also recommend further diagnostic tests, such as:

• Radiography (x-rays)
• Endoscopy (internal scoping)
• Ultrasound
• Biopsy
