Anesthesia & Monitoring

Ensuring your dog remains safe and protected during surgery and other medical procedures is extremely important to the Dog Hospital of Brampton. Our team of experienced veterinarians and veterinary technicians have many years of experience in using anesthesia and monitoring patients to ensure your dog’s safety and to provide the most comfortable experience possible through every step of the procedure.

We know that patient monitoring and anesthesia vary greatly from clinic to clinic but you can rest assured that we use the most effective and up-to-date protocols in the field today.

The type of anesthesia used at our hospital depends on the procedure your dog requires. Some require general anesthesia, while others will only call for local anesthesia. Our trained professionals will discuss the type of anesthesia your dog requires with you before putting the dog under. We also closely monitor every procedure, regardless of whether it is routine or more advanced. We understand the importance of every produce and we treat it with the care and detail it deserves.

For more specific information on our protocols, please see the individual descriptions on this page or you may contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.
